When Counselling Can Help

Perhaps you are suffering from anxiety or depression, or struggling to cope with a bereavement. Or you may wish to increase your self-confidence and your ability to be assertive. Sometimes relationships can become difficult to manage and may be emotionally confusing.

Many people face challenges and situations at some point in their lives that can be hard to manage or understand on our own. As we work together through the counselling process you can find new ways of managing or resolving them.

What issues can counselling and psychotherapy help with?

People seek help for a wide range of issues. Here are a few of the more common difficulties that can be supported through counselling:

Depression

Anxiety

Loss and bereavement

Lack of confidence

Low self esteem

Abuse & trauma

Family & relationships

Fertility

Post-natal depression

Parenting

Work stress

Childhood memories

Bullying

Boarding school issues

Menopause

Self-identity

Whatever you are finding difficult at the moment, Counselling can help.

Counselling can offer a time and place which is just for you, to talk about your difficulties in confidence with someone who is impartial. You will not be judged or given advice but we can explore your situation together in a sensitive, empathic and compassionate way, to discover new perspectives and perhaps greater understanding of yourself.

Therapy provides a safe, supportive space that can be liberating in helping you to manage the pressures and problems you experience and can enable you to make desired changes.
