Counselling Employment
I have been established in private practice in Teddington since 2002. My counselling career has included employment as a University Student Counsellor at St. Mary’s University Twickenham and NHS Staff Counselling at St. Helier’s hospital and Honorary Student counselling at Surrey University.
My background employment has been in Special Needs Education and working with local authority Children and Families Services.
There are many theoretical approaches to counselling and psychotherapy and I use an integrative approach because everyone is unique and different and needs a personal varied approach to therapy. This means I draw on more than one model of therapy and include psychodynamic, interpersonal and analytic psychology ideas. I may also use a cognitive approach for particular difficulties such as depression and anxiety. Click here to read more about my approach to therapy.
